January 8th 2012
Sirocco return to The Netherlands and Belgium next week, to play Groningen on January 12th, and Antwerp on January 13th. The first half of 2012 will also see our first shows in Austria, Slovenia and Norway. Our third album is now in the mixing stage with details to be announced very soon.

Welcome to the band, Padge Maderson. We'll be playing our first show with Padge on December 23rd at An Cruiscin Lan.

After 8 years in Sirocco, we say farewell to John Owens, who will play his final gig with us at Siege of Limerick this Sunday. We wish him the very best in his new career and offer our sincerest thanks for all his hard work and dedication to the band.

We're looking forward to playing a slew of dates this autumn including shows in Cork, Dublin, Belfast and a 5 date tour of the UK. We have also confirmed several shows in Italy and Greece. See you there!

We are happy to announce that we will support Northern Ireland's Darkest Era in Belfast on March 26th, for the release of their new album "The Last Caress of Light" on MetalBlade Records. The show will also feature a rare performance by the original lineup of Sorrowfall.

We will also be playing 3 Irish shows this September with Germany's SuidAkrA!

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our show with Mael Mordha tomorrow night in Academy2. Ciaran broke his ankle and is unable to travel. Apologies to anyone who was hoping to see us there, we'll be back to Dublin soon.

As 2010 draws to a close, we want to say thank you to everyone who made it a tremendous and special year for us, and to all the great people and new friends we have met along the way. Our special thanks go to Dimitris @ Pandoras Box, Lisa and Jan @ Riedstock, Filip from Gorath, Kris from I Inside, Erwin from Sodom Open Air, H from Dublin Metal Events and all at Aiken Promotions. The last few months have been hectic, with our first shows in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece & Germany, and 2 special hometown shows - St. Patrick's Day at An Cruiscin Lan and supporting Megadeth at The Marquee. 2011 brings the promise of a new Sirocco album, which we are currently working on, as well as more shows in the works for the second half of the year. Sirocco will perform in Europe for the first time this June, with shows confirmed for France, Belgium and The Netherlands. We are also coming to Reidstock Open Air in Hessen, Germany in August and October will see our first shows in Greece!

Sirocco play An Cruiscin Lan this Paddy's Day in an early show after the Cork parade. Doors are at 2pm. We then head on to Sally Long's on March 18th for our first Galway show in 5 years, and RockD in The Limelight, Belfast on March 20th. Hope to see you all there.

Sirocco are currently in the process of writing a new album to be released in the second half of 2010. We have also been confirmed to play at the Siege Of Limerick, all day rock & metal fest, on April 4th. The lineup will consist of 26 bands on 2 stages. Already confirmed are Mourning Beloveth and Five Will Die. Admission is free. More dates to be announced soon.
